What a nice thing for Suburban Furniture to do...and for you to help them to do! The NY Times Jersey section today had a snippet about the fact that Commerce Bank decided in October to pull out of the Toys for Tots programs. They had been the largest contributor in the state, pulling in more than half of the 20,000 toys collected statewide each year. The bank spokesperson said that they have shifted their focus to having their employees "adopt" needy families. I say, "Feh." Toys for Tots is such a great program...will be interesting to see if any other news outlets pick this up and whether or not negative publicity leads Commerce to change their policy.
