Music We Love Right Now

Friday, February 3, 2006: Marti’s Pick
Acknowledging my addiction to depressing music, I will kick this page off by saying I am currently all about “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter. Check here for lyrics. Any song that reminds you that the camera doesn’t lie is bound to be depressing.

Very excited about the U.S. release of KT Tunstall’s album, Eye to the Telescope, today. Downloading it off of iTunes is the first thing — no, second thing, after pouring a glass of wine — I’m doing when I get home tonight. Her website is here and iTunes also has a free video download of her performance on the Today show last week. Amazing sound produced by just one woman, a boot on a tambourine, and a computer gizmo. Check it out.
